Migration, mixedness, and the partner’s role in core discussion networks

ABSTRACT
Research into migration and social networks has suggested that migrants are relationally more vulnerable than non-migrants, especially those in endogamous couples. However, non-probability samples lack of data about partners' have often impeded rigorous testing. This paper analyses the influence mixedness (unions between two persons from different geographical origins) on some compositional structural measures core discussion adult population Spain, paying special attention to partner's role. Data 2013 Spanish General Social Survey (SGSS) were used. A graph census shows predominance complete graphs both for exogamous couples, but clearly case natives. Multivariate models prove that, general, Spaniards mixed unions seem less partner-dependent, whereas immigrants most affected by effects mobility relational vulnerability.
