ABSTRACT
This study aimed to determine the expression levels of runt-related transcription factor 3 (RUNX3) and caudal-related homeobox 2 (CDX2) in patients with chronic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, atypical hyperplasia, gastric cancer (GC). To analyze overexpression CDX2 effects resveratrol (Res) on MKN7 TMK1 cells, immunohistochemical staining was performed protein tissue samples. The biological activity cells determined. Relative mRNA were also RUNX3 positively correlated negatively β-catenin 4 (TCF-4) GC tissues. Interestingly, other or Res treatment inhibited cell proliferation, migration, invasion, while inducing apoptosis. Furthermore, B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2)-associated X (Bax) increased, those β-catenin, TCF-4, Bcl-2 decreased group. Upon lithium chloride (LiCl), invasion CDX2-overexpressing enhanced. Our results indicate that inhibits growth by increasing levels, potential involvement β-catenin/TCF-4 signaling pathway.
