Family Planning and Assessment of the Frequency of Exposure to Drugs Contraindicated in Pregnancies After Kidney or Liver Transplantation: A Retrospective Cross-Sectional Study

ABSTRACT
A successful organ transplant restores gonadal function in the first months after surgery, which leads to normalization of menstrual cycles and increases chance pregnancy. Recipients transplants should effectively prevent pregnancy for a minimum 1 year optimally up 2 years surgery. This study aimed evaluate incidence unplanned pregnancies female recipients cross-sectional, single-center survey 46 pregnant who were hospitalized at Department Obstetrics Gynaecology. In post-transplant period, we recorded patients, including 27 kidney (59%) 19 liver (41%). Forty-nine respondents reported 66 pregnancies, 52 ended live births (79%). Twenty not planned. that group, 16 labor, miscarriage, termination. 10 women treated with potentially teratogenic drugs trimester. The duration was shorter group had planned their conceived during therapy (30.66 ± 3.61 weeks) than (34.95 4 weeks, P < .0215). Women transplantation are high risk complications. Therefore, conception planning is an important element care, especially because percentage this remains despite use drugs.
