ABSTRACT
Urban Freight Transport (UFT) is a fundamental component of city life. It involves vast range activities resulting from relationships among different actors with conflicting needs and goals. Manufacturers are interested in fast on-time deliveries, retailers require complete assortment frequent citizens wish to have easy access goods while not losing their quality life City Authorities face negative externalities related UFT (i.e. congestion, air noise pollution, safety). Concretely, few cities well-developed comprehensive logistics strategy because authorities generally focus attention on passenger transport. When measures been conceived implemented, frequently private requirements considered sufficiently. The European Commission includes the lack data understanding freight flows main obstacles improvement operational efficiency planning process for sustainable economic, social environmental terms.
