ABSTRACT
Sustainable urban logistics has become challenging over the course of last decades due to sprawl and increased demands goods in areas. To overcome this problem, a fine-grained network decoupling hubs, separating suppliers customers spacial timely manner, are needed. The paper at hand introduces model how calculate optimal hub locations within areas with goal that inhabitants walk or cycle next do not take motorised vehicle. study uses northern district Zurich as unit analysis shows by using developed model, 80% need less than 250 metres their hub, which is radius 100 public transport stop. This supports integration picking up dropping off deliveries while commuting.
