ABSTRACT
Abstract Growing in a saline environment causes changes important physiological processes that are directly related to plant growth and development. In this study we evaluated the effect of salinity on transpiration sorghum plants semi-arid conditions found highest rates were observed hottest hours day, between 10 a.m. 3 p.m., with subjected having their reduced by up 70% when compared non-saline environment. This behavior can be reflected reductions development due water absorption roots, consequently causing an imbalance nutrients low rate competition salts preferred routes roots.
