ABSTRACT
The collapse of a gas or vapour bubble near non-porous boundary is directed at the due to asymmetry induced by nearby boundary. High surface pressure and shear stress from this can damage, clean, surface. A porous boundary, such as filter, would act similarly but with reduced thus effect. Prior research has measured cleaning effect bubbles on filters using ultrasonic cleaning, it not known how dynamics are fundamentally affected porosity We address question experimentally investigating standoff distance, porosity, pore size, shape affect two properties: displacement rebound size. show that these properties depend primarily distance extend previously developed numerical model approximates behaviour. Using in combination experimental data, we size each onto respective single curves.
