ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT A new facility for radiocarbon dating by accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) was established in early 2015 at the Inter-University Accelerator Centre New Delhi, India. The uses a 500 kV National Electrostatic Corporation (NEC) Pelletron AMS measurements on graphite produced using automated graphitization equipment (AGE) interfaced with an elemental analyzer and carbonate handling system (CHS). precision of better than 1‰ ratio 14 C/ 12 C modern carbon sample background level 1 × 10 –15 from dead has been achieved. This is first dedicated India only activities. capabilities to perform Be 26 Al as well.
