ABSTRACT
One hundred geriatric psychiatric patients were examined with the Geriatric Mental State Schedule in New York and London, a correlation procedure involving both clinical statistical operations was carried out on psychopathological data thus collected. Twenty-one factors produced, including three dealing cognitive impairment. Although it found that elderly depressives show profile of psychopathology quite different from shown by organic disorder, also an apparently functional disorder may sometimes be diagnosed as subjective complaints intellectual impairment are not good indicators disorders, associated depressive factor, could dismissed attributes aging actually indicative elderly.
