ABSTRACT
Sixty years ago, the advent of radiocarbon dating rewrote archaeological chronologies around world. Forty calibration signaled death knell diffusionism that had been mainstay thought for a century. Since then, revolution has continued, as extent extended ever further back and range material can be dated expanded. Now new beckons, one could allow archaeology to engage in historical debate usher an entirely kind (pre)history. This paper focuses on more than decade experience utilizing Bayesian approaches routinely interpretation 14 C dates English archaeology, discussing both practicalities implementing these methods their potential changing thinking.
