ABSTRACT
The authors report on a retrospective analysis of 81 patients undergoing laminectomy for the clinico-radiological diagnosis lumbar stenosis. One hundred and eighty-five variables were considered computer system was used in their evaluation. most frequent site involvement at L4-5. Follow-up time ranged from 3 months to 12 years. 95% good results obtained, re-operation rate 7%. complication 11%. There no mortality. No significant correlation between factors investigated outcome found. This is contrast our series lumbosacral disc protrusions which such as duration symptoms presence compensation indicated poor outcome. Results are compared with other series.
