ABSTRACT
The aim of this study was to assess mitochondrial DNA analysis as a predictor the pregnancy potential biopsied preimplantation embryos. included 78 blastomeres from day 4 cleavage stage euploid embryo karyotype confirmed by 24-chromosome genetic testing for aneuploidies using Illumina Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) system. Mitochondria viability ratios (mtV) were determined BAM files subjected web-based genome-analysis tool Galaxy. From cohort patients, 30.4% patients (n = 34) failed establish pregnancy. mean mtV ratio [mean 1.51 ± 1.25-1.77 (95% CI)] group significantly (P < 0.01) lower compared with population that resulted in established pregnancies 2.5 1.82-2.68 CI)]. multiple (MoM) values similarly blastocysts failing At 0.5 MoM cut-off, sensitivity quantitation 35.3% and specificity 78.2%. positive predictive value an > 41.4%.
