ABSTRACT
The effect of prenatal diagnosis on prognosis in patients with transposition the great arteries is not clear. In this study, we compared outcomes after arterial switch operation.Outcome 112 who had operation neonatal period were analysed. divided into two groups: those (Group 1; n = 34) and did 2; 78). also classified based their diagnosis: simple transposition, ventricular septal defect and/or aortic arch hypoplasia, Taussig-Bing anomaly. In Group 1, C-section delivery rate was higher (82% vs. 44%; p 0.004), it observed that 1 more often intubated upon admission to ICU (38% 9%; 0.005). No differences found between groups terms time, cardiopulmonary bypass post-operative invasive respiratory support duration, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support. It anomaly a mortality.Timely treatment have positive mortality morbidity. That's why all families critical CHD should be recommended tertiary care hospital. Although could demonstrated has potential improve surgical results especially countries cities, which does enough resources for transfer units. Further efforts are needed screening programmes.
