ABSTRACT
Injury patterns are closely related to changes in behavior. Pandemics and measures undertaken against them may cause behavior; therefore, injury during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak can be expected when compared parallel period previous years.The aim of this study was compare injury-related hospitalization overall national lockdown with periods years.A retrospective completed all patients hospitalized from March 15 through April 30, for years 2016-2020. Data were obtained 21 hospitals included trauma registry years. Clinical, demographic, circumstantial parameters amongst study.The volume injured significantly decreased COVID-19 outbreak, greatest decrease registered road traffic collisions (RTCs). Patients' sex ethnic compositions did not change, but a smaller proportion children outbreak. Many more injuries sustained at home proportions other localities decreased. Injuries severe, specifically due an increase severe RTCs falls. The intensive care unit (ICU) hospitalizations however surgeries performed; stayed less days hospital.The led significant number as Nevertheless, remains major health concern even high-impact outbreaks, particular increased surgeries.
