ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT Soil erosion can pose a serious problem to environmental quality and sustainable development. On the Tibetan Plateau, soil is one of main challenges regional ecological security. Our analysis investigates evaluates its economic value in alpine steppe, meadow, desert steppe forest ecosystems on Plateau. Analysis was carried out from 1984 2013. The results show that annual average potential erosion, practical conservation calculated by Revised University Loss Equation model were 2.19×10 9 ta –1 , 2.16×10 2.72×10 7 respectively. retaining nutrients, reducing formation wasteland benefit sediment deposition 1.98×10 8 RMBa 2.55×10 12 7.44×10 4 From comparing different ecosystems, we found ecosystem had greatest retention values. We also actual values extremely high study highlights state local policymakers must give greater emphasis protection future.
