ABSTRACT
Short-chain and medium-chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs MCCPs) are mixtures of complex chemical compounds with intensive usage. They frequently detected in various environmental samples. However, the interaction between CPs plants, especially biotransformation behaviors within is poorly understood. In this study, 1,2,5,6,9,10-hexachlorodecane (CP-4, a typical standard individual SCCP congeners) 52%-MCCP (a commercial mixture MCCPs 52% chlorine content by mass) were selected as representative chemicals to explore metabolic SCCPs using suspension rice cell culture exposure systems. Both 79.53% 40.70% CP-4 metabolized cells, respectively. A complementary suspected screening strategy based on pair mass distances (PMD) analysis algorithm was used study metabolism mediated plant cells. Forty 25 products for 52%-MCCP, respectively, identified, including (multi-) hydroxylation, dechlorination, −HCl– elimination metabolites, (hydroxylation-) sulfation, glycosylation conjugates. Here, we propose comprehensive molecular network provide insight degradation pathways plants first time, aiding further understanding transformation CPs.
