ABSTRACT
Novel per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) in the environment populations have received extensive attention; however, their distribution potential toxic effects general population remain unclear. Here, a comprehensive study on PFAS screening was carried out serum samples of 202 individuals from four cities China. A total 165 suspected PFASs were identified using target nontarget analysis, including seven homolog series, which 16 validated against standards, [4:2 chlorinated polyfluorinated ether sulfonate (4:2 Cl-PFESA), 7:2 (7:2 hydrosubstituted perfluoroheptanoate (H-PFHpA), chlorine-substituted perfluorooctanoate (Cl-PFOA), perfluorononanate (Cl-PFNA), perfluorodecanoate (Cl-PFDA), perfluorodecanedioic acid (PFLDCA n = 8)] reported for first time human serum. The Tox21-GCN model (a graph convolutional neural network based Tox21 database) established to predict toxicity discovered PFASs, revealing that containing sulfonic groups exhibited multiple effects, such as estrogenic stress responses. Our indicated exposed various prediction results individual suggested health risks could not be ignored.
