ABSTRACT
The objectives of this research were to quantify the impact organic matter content, soil pH and moisture content on dissolution rate solubility copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) in soil, develop an empirical model predict kinetics CuO NPs soil. dosed into standard LUFA soils with various carbon content. Chemical extractions applied measure NP kinetics. Doubling reactive 2.1 increased 2.7-fold but did not change constant. Increasing from 5.9 6.8 2.2 decreased constant 0.56 mol1/3·kg1/3·s–1 0.17 without changing For six soils, correlated well (R2 = 0.89) independent pH. In contrast, for < 6.3 0.89), These relationships predicted constants two test (pH 5.0 7.6). Moisture showed negligible NPs. Our study suggests that affect behavior a predictable manner.
