ABSTRACT
Biphasic solvents containing mixed amines have a phase separation behavior and energy-efficient regeneration for CO2 capture. However, the trade-off between absorption capacity volume ratio of CO2-rich presents critical challenge to reducing potential in energy consumption. In this study, sulfolane was proposed regulate N,N-diethylethanolamine (DEEA)-triethylenetetramine (TETA) biphasic absorbent by simultaneously decreasing increasing loading rich phase, without sacrificing high capacity. DEEA-TETA-sulfolane absorbent, acted as splitter physical activator. The replacement part H2O hydrophobic contributed substantial decrease from 83 39% an increase 3.10 4.92 mol/L. heat decreased 1.81 GJ/t CO2, 26.4% less than DEEA-TETA, 54.6% 5 M monoethanolamine system. Moreover, promoting mass transfer coefficient 1.8 times original DEEA-TETA system, validated Our study provides promising strategy regulating enhancing efficiency
