ABSTRACT
Ternary extractive distillation (TED) is an effective and sustainable separation process for treating pharmaceutical wastewater containing ethyl acetate/isopropanol/water, corresponding to three binary azeotropes, realize the recovery of acetate isopropanol. Visual Basic software was used optimize using a single solvent mixed in different proportions based on sequential iterative optimization method, optimal mixture proportion (30% DMSO+70% EG) determined. The economic environmental performance with combined partial thermal coupling technology studied. heat within further improved by energy-efficient exchanger network synthesis (HENs) option. pump also explored. results show that ternary process, use can significantly reduce energy consumption, which lead lower total annual cost (TAC) CO2 emission. Compared conventional solvent, improves performance. TAC emission were reduced 12.183% 19.869%, respectively. 34.782% 37.156%, respectively, indicates feasibility these two energy-saving processes continuously updated cleaner production.
