ABSTRACT
Indium oxide has been demonstrated to be a suitable catalytic material for CO2 adsorption and activation, in this study phase-mixing strategy is used improve its hydrogenation of CH3OH. Mixed-phase indium with controllable cubic hexagonal phases synthesized by solvothermal method, conversion CH3OH space-time yield are about 2 times higher than those single-phase oxide. Experimental investigation shows significant mixed-crystal effect resulting from the phase mixing, which substantially promotes oxygen vacancy formation medium-strength thereby enhances performance. Furthermore, mixed-phase catalyst very stable too difficult reduce during reaction. These results give good technique development highly active long-lived catalysts through crystal engineering.
