ABSTRACT
Hypochlorous acid (HClO), one of the reactive oxygen species (ROS), is a key microbicidal agent which used for natural defense; however, it also involved in several human diseases. Although efforts have been made to develop HClO-selective fluorescent sensors, most them display delayed response time and ratiometric sensors are rare. In current work, we 3-pyrrole BODIPY dye as new sensor (BRClO) HClO. BRClO exhibited 177-fold fluorescence ratio (F505 nm/F585 nm) enhancement presence HClO over other ROS with fast (completed within 1 s). Confocal imaging showed separated signals exogenous live cells. addition, could be easily prepared test strips detect aqueous solution tap water.
