ABSTRACT
In this work, the gas-side mass transfer was investigated in a rotating packed bed (RPB) with structured nickel foam packings, different surface properties, either nonmodified packing (NNP) or hydrophobic surface-modified (SNP). Effects on volumetric mass-transfer coefficient (kGae) of rotational speed, liquid flow rate, and gas rate were experimentally studied RPB NNP SNP. It can be found that loaded SNP has higher efficiency, compared NNP. Based experimental data, correlation kGae proposed, which hence provide fast calculation coefficients for design packing.
