ABSTRACT
The development of green solid polymer materials bearing multiple active sites as highly efficient heterogeneous catalysts with cooperative effects toward the conversion carbon dioxide (CO2) to high-value-added cyclic carbonate is in need. Here a novel cationic based on moieties 1-bromomethyl-4-hydroxy calix[4]arene and tri(4-imidazolylphenyl)amine has been synthesized, characterized, used metal-free bifunctional catalyst for CO2 utilization. presence abundant phenolic OH groups hydrogen bond donors bromide anions nucleophilic agents provides this brilliant activities catalyzing epoxides into carbonates under atmospheric pressure solvent-free conditions. More importantly, can be conveniently recycled keeps catalytic ability well. This work not only offers new method synthesize competitive but also first example an ionic that contains calixarene synthesizing through cycloaddition reaction.
