ABSTRACT
Peptides derived from food protein have the potential to become antihypertensive agents with relatively few negative side effects. Herein, multiple peptides, extracted transgenic rice seed, were administered intragastrically into spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHRs) different dosages, resulting in a significant decrease systolic blood pressure (SBP). Furthermore, for period of 5 weeks, daily intragastric administration flour also significantly reduced SBP SHRs but not Wistar Kyoto normotensive (WNRs), most importantly, which did affect growth, development, or serum chemistry WNRs and cause any pathological changes. Our work provides an alternative source natural agents.
