ABSTRACT
The berries of black nightshade (Solanum nigrum L.) are consumed as a favorite fruit in some regions and have been reported to possess range biological activities. Previous studies found that the steroidal saponins from S. (SN) showed potential antileukemic activity, although underlying mechanism remains be revealed. This study investigated effects mechanisms SN combination with adriamycin reverse leukemia multidrug resistance vivo vitro. results indicated displayed enhanced suppression ability both vitro by modulation drug efflux proteins. Further revealed co-treatment induced cell apoptosis K562/ADR cells through caspase pathways autophagy PI3K/Akt/mTOR MAPK signaling pathway. provides new prospect therapy cancer.
