ABSTRACT
The polymer polyoxyethylene(20) cetyl ether (C56H114O21, POELE20) and three salts (K2C2O4, K2C4H4O6, K3C6H5O7) were the phase-forming materials to build aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) at temperatures 288.15, 298.15, 308.15 K. data of phase diagram including binodal curve tie-line determined fitted by classical equations, they obtained satisfactory correlation effect. ability salt composed same cation was investigated factors, namely, valence anion, Gibbs free energy value effective excluded volume (EEV). It found that strengthened when values said factors went up. results analysis on from present work in our previous paper showed order KOH < K2C2O4 K2C4H4O6 K2CO3 K3C6H5O7 K3PO4. effect temperature studied ATPSs discussed through EEV value, it increase is beneficial separating two phases for ATPSs. For systems, liquid–liquid equilibrium slope (STL), absolute STL increased with rising temperature.
