ABSTRACT
This study demonstrates quick and efficient removal of different dyes from wastewater by using MoS2/CuS nanosheet composites (NCs) as adsorbent. The NCs are prepared a facile hydrothermal route, the exhibit high adsorption capacity with 273.23, 432.68, 98.78, 211.18 mg/g for rhodamine B (RhB), methylene blue (MB), methyl orange (MO), 6G (RhB 6G), respectively. is ascribed to its specific surface area (106.27 m2/g) small mesopores (2.299 nm) which provide numerous sites uniform coverage dye molecules. High efficiency obtained RhB (93.8%), MB (100%), (84.73%), except MO (48.9%) at equilibrium time solution concentration 80 mg/L. can be well described pseudo-second-order kinetic model, isotherm fits Langmuir model. rapid ensures broad-spectrum adsorbent contaminants in water.
