ABSTRACT
For separation of the azeotropes n-propanol (NPA) + water and isopropanol (IPA) by liquid–liquid extraction, cyclohexanone was selected as extraction solvent. The equilibrium (LLE) behavior two mixtures (water NPA cyclohexanone) IPA investigated at temperatures 298.15 308.15 K. LLE phase diagrams belong to Treybal's type I. According measured data, distribution ratio factor obtained calculation were used analyze effect cyclohexanone. In addition, NRTL UNIQUAC models fit experimental values root mean square deviation are smaller than 0.007. Lastly, analysis Gibbs energy surfaces applied validate coherence fitted binary interaction parameters for thermodynamic models.
