ABSTRACT
This study describes the syntheses of 2,3-bis(selanyl)quinoxalines via photoinduced cyclizations o-diisocyanoarenes with diaryl or dialkyl diselenides, in addition to providing a detailed discussion corresponding mechanism and revealing that developed procedure can also be applied prepare 2-thiolated quinoxaline derivatives from thiols. The technique does not need use additives metal catalysts features advantages high conversion, broad substrate scope, mild reaction conditions, thereby rendering it valuable synthesis toolbox.
