ABSTRACT
Understanding the science behind highly active materials is essential for advancement in field of photocatalytic water splitting solar energy harvesting. Sodium tantalate (NaTaO3) doped with La cations one best engineered efficient to evolve hydrogen. In this study, physical insights into sensitivity water-splitting activity spatial distribution are discussed. The placed at Na site was found dictate gradient conduction band bottom (CBB), resulting a tunable electron population and hence activity. A less homogeneous sample sufficiently large CBB exhibited higher mechanism tuning through controlling dopant expected be applicable broad range metal oxide perovskites artificial photosynthesis.
