ABSTRACT
Colloidal 2D nanoplatelets (NPLs) are a class of nanoparticles that offer the possibility forming two types heterostructures, by growing either in confined direction or perpendicular to direction, called core/crown NPLs. Here, we demonstrate bicolor emission can be obtained from NPLs with geometry. To date, for CdSe/CdTe type-II band alignment, only charge transfer has been observed due very fast (<picoseconds) electrons toward CdSe core. show using CdSe1–xTex alloys crowned right composition and lateral extension enables observation at single-particle level. One source originates recombination interface (Xint), other direct crown (Xcrown). This emission, which is nonvisible pure core NPLs, results large binding energy compared reduced conduction offset existing alloy intermediate (60%) Te content. These observations made possible geometry
