ABSTRACT
Oxidative stress is pivotal in retinal disease progression, causing dysfunction various components. An effective antioxidant, such as probucol (PB), vital to counteract oxidative and emerges a potential candidate for treating degeneration. However, the challenges associated with delivering lipophilic drugs PB posterior segment of eye, specifically targeting photoreceptor cells, necessitate innovative solutions. This study uses formulation-based spray dry encapsulation technology develop polymer-based PB-lithocholic acid (LCA) nanoparticles assesses their efficacy 661W photoreceptor-like cell line. Incorporating LCA enhances nanoparticles' biological without compromising stability.
