ABSTRACT
Fluorescence microscopy with optical sectioning capabilities is extensively utilized in biological research to obtain three-dimensional structural images of volumetric samples. Tunable lenses have been applied for axial scanning acquire multiplane images. However, acquired by conventional tunable suffer from spherical aberration and distortions. Here, we design, fabricate, implement a dielectric Moiré metalens fluorescence imaging. The consists two complementary phase metasurfaces, variable focal length, ranging ∼10 ∼125 mm at 532 nm tuning mutual angles. In addition, telecentric configuration using the designed high-contrast performance our system evaluated optically sectioned obtained HiLo illumination fluorescently labeled beads, as well ex vivo mice intestine tissue compact design varifocal may find important applications endoscopy clinical purposes.
