ABSTRACT
According to the American skin cancer foundation, there are more new cases of than combined incidence cancers breast, prostate, lung, and colon each year, malignant melanoma represents its deadliest form. About 50% all characterized by a particular mutation BRAF(V600E) in BRAF (Rapid Acceleration Fibrosarcoma gene B) gene. Recently developed highly specific drugs able fight mutated tumors but require diagnostic tools for fast reliable detection warrant treatment efficiency. We completed preliminary clinical trial applying cantilever array sensors demonstrate identification single-point using total RNA obtained from biopsies metastatic diverse sources (surgical material either frozen or fixated with formalin embedded paraffin). The method is faster standard Sanger pyrosequencing methods comparably sensitive as next-generation sequencing. Processing time biopsy diagnosis below 1 day does not PCR amplification, sequencing, labels.
