ABSTRACT
Pt-based multimetallic core-shell nanoplates have received great attention as advanced catalysts, but the synthesis is still challenging. Here we report of Pd@PtM (M = Ni, Rh, Ru) including Pd@Pt nanoplates, in which Pt or alloy shells with controlled thickness epitaxially grow on plate-like Pd seeds. The key to achieve high-quality situ generation CO through interfacial catalytic reactions associated and benzyl alcohol. In addition, accurate control a trace amount also importance for conformal growth nanoplates. Pd@PtNi exhibit substantially improved activity stability methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) compared commercial catalysts due advantages arising from plate-like, core-shell, structures.
