ABSTRACT
An intermolecular alkene dicarbofunctionalization via electrochemical reduction that combines alkyl and aryl iodides with styrene derivatives was herein reported. The multicomponent reaction exhibited several synthetic advantages including simple operation, wide substrate scope, convenience of amplification. Mechanistic investigations, cyclic voltammetry (CV), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), radical trapping reactions, support the nickel catalytic cycle formation species from iodides.
