ABSTRACT
Integrating nanostructured active materials, antimicrobial components, and rational porous structures is one of the promising approaches for simultaneously boosting removal efficiency, capacity, mechanical property, hydrophobic performance, air permeability filters. However, realizing these performances an filter still remains a big challenge. Herein, multifunctional zNFs-Ag@PT, which composed unique substrate prepared from Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs)-paper towel (PT) microfibers upper layer formed aligned zein nanofibers (zNFs) inspired by "tug-of-war" repulsion force, reported. The Ag@PT fabricated via in situ reduction; zNFs are electrospinning well-prepared Pickering emulsion onto specially designed collector. innovative collector partially conductive design insulative middle section two ends. It demonstrated that introduction AgNPs not only endows zNFs-Ag@PT with effective activity but also provides anisotropic electric field to achieve stretched fibers forming thinner than without AgNPs. As result, filtration enhanced. This study initiates way fabricate bio-based filters combining nano- biotechnology.
