ABSTRACT
Stimuli-responsive hydrogels are flourishing; however, a multiresponsive luminescent hydrogel actuator in which the stimuli do not interfere with each other is still difficult to produce. Here, smart bilayer shape memory and reversible luminescence switch behaviors under co-stimulation of pH heating reported. Under alkaline condition, chitosan-containing layer generates physical microcrystals fix temporary while lanthanide emits bright luminescence. Upon acid treatment, recovers its original quenched since "antenna effect" between organic ligand ions disrupted. It be noticed that this cycle can repeated several times without interfering other. This work expected have potential application prospects fields biomimetic soft robots, sensors, camouflage.
