ABSTRACT
Transition-metal phosphides have gained great importance in the field of energy conversion and storage such as electrochemical water splitting, fuel cells, Li-ion batteries. In this study, a rationally designed novel fluffy graphene (FG)-wrapped monophasic Ni5P4 (Ni5P4@FG) is in-situ-synthesized using chemical vapor deposition method battery anode material. The porous hollow structure core greatly helpful for lithium-ion diffusion, at same time, cilia-like nanosheet shell provides an electron-conducting layer stabilizes solid electrolyte interface formed on surface. Ni5P4@FG sample shows high reversible capacity 739 mAh g–1 after 300 cycles specific current density 500 mA g–1. capacity, superior cycling stability, improved rate capability are ascribed to its unique hierarchical structure. Moreover, present efficient fabrication methodology has potential be developed general synthesis other transition-metal phosphides.
