ABSTRACT
Collecting water from fog flow is emerging as a promising solution to the shortage problem. This work demonstrated novel environmentally responsive collector made self-prepared Janus polyvinyl alcohol sponge in combination with two-way shape memory alloy spring, which transforms traditional manner of static collection into dynamic one. The unidirectional transport structure together approach correspond 30.8% increase water-collection rate (WCR). resultant WCR up 5.1 g/h, ranks relatively high compared similar studies. light- and thermal-response capability, easy fabrication, good cycling performance indicate that our devices could be utilized variety applications. In this work, an efficient, intelligent adaptive, simple-preparation, precision-guided, economical fog-collecting are recommended. Our provides new insights on design high-efficient collectors practicability.
