ABSTRACT
Vanadium dioxide (VO2) featuring a distinct thermally triggered phase transition is regarded as the most attractive thermochromic material for smart window applications. However, high temperature (∼67 °C) and moderate luminous transmittance (<50%) of pristine VO2 circumvent room In this work, epitaxial cobalt-doped thin films were fabricated to tailor electric optical properties on c-plane sapphire substrate. At highest doping concentration 10%, reduced 44 °C, accompanied by 79% single-element Co-doped VO2. The roles cobalt detailed band variation are fully explained experimentally modeling (DFT calculation), respectively. Furthermore, dramatically increased carrier in underscores promising future unveiled temperature-dependent Hall effect measurement.
