ABSTRACT
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as powerful platforms for tuning the luminescence characteristics of guests due to their various structures and functions. Tunable stimuli-responsive within MOFs can be achieved through a judicious choice hosts. Herein, we demonstrate dramatic change in dye excimers encapsulated MOFs. A polar presented largely red-shifted excimer emissions with higher polarities, while nonpolar showed very different emissions. Interestingly, tailored by strong thermal quenching. Cz-Ant@ZIF-8, containing two luminescent dyes (carbazole (Cz) anthracene (Ant)), was prepared, it ratiometric temperature sensing properties (1.55% K-1) range 278-353 K. This work sheds light on confined design sensitive thermometers.
