ABSTRACT
The reduction of oil fouling in pipes and tanks is essential for the storage transportation industry. In this study, a superhydrophilic/underwater superoleophobic surface (SUSS) with high wearability, weatherability, durability was developed using facile two-step synthesis method used to expel fouled from water without surfactant. Some typical oils, including kerosene white oil, can be spontaneously expelled by static water; however, rapeseed requires motive expulsion because its affinity SUSS. Different occurrences estimated based on correlated parameter, φ(Pe), which calculated an introduced dimensionless number, Pe=σLVuμ. A positive value φ indicates occurrence fouled-oil replacement, whereas negative no phenomenon. This study provides strategy rapid cleansing oil-fouled detergent, thereby lowering costs environmental risks.
