ABSTRACT
The van der Waals layered material MnBi2Te4, as a magnetic topological insulator, has attracted tremendous interest for novel physics research in the fields of condensed matter and materials science. However, nonlinear optical properties MnBi2Te4 its applications ultrafast optics have rarely been explored. In this study, high-quality nanosheets successfully synthesized by self-flux method. morphology, chemical composition, properties, characteristics were systematically investigated. transition was confirmed low-temperature spatially resolved spectroscopic technique. saturable absorption property measured balanced twin-detector system with modulation depth 4.5% saturation intensity 2.35 GW/cm2. Furthermore, inserting MnBi2Te4-based absorber, soliton mode-locking laser operating at 1558.8 nm obtained pulse duration 331 fs. This will pave way TI photonics.
