ABSTRACT
Superwettability of substrates has had a profound influence on the production novel and advanced colloidal assemblies in recent decades owing to its effect spreading area, evaporation rate, resultant assembly structure. In this paper, we investigated detail superwettability transfer/template substrate from hybrid top-down/bottom-up strategy. By taking advantage superhydrophilic flat transfer superhydrophobic groove-structured silicon template, patterned microsphere was formed including linear mesh-, cyclic-, multistopband arrays microspheres, optic-waveguide circular structure demonstrated. We believed liquid strategy would open an efficient avenue for assembling/integrating microspheres building blocks into device applications low-cost manner.
