ABSTRACT
A new method for transferring chemical vapor deposition (CVD)-grown monolayer graphene to a variety of substrates is described. The makes use an organic/aqueous biphasic configuration, avoiding the any polymeric materials that can cause severe contamination problems. graphene-coated copper foil sample (on which was grown) sits at interface between hexane and aqueous etching solution ammonium persulfate remove copper. With aid Si/SiO2 substrate, layer then transferred second hexane/water products. From this location, CVD readily arbitrary substrates, including three-dimensional architectures as represented by atomic force microscopy (AFM) tips transmission electron (TEM) grids. Graphene produces conformal on AFM tips, very end, allowing easy production conductive imaging. TEM grids provides large-area, highly electron-transparent These also be used working electrodes electrochemistry high-resolution wetting studies. By using scanning electrochemical cell microscopy, it possible make measurements either freestanding film or copper-supported area determine differences in behavior.
