ABSTRACT
Multidrug-resistant superbugs are currently a severe threat to public health. Here, we report novel kind of antisuperbug material prepared by irradiation induced graft polymerization 1-butyl-3-vinyl imidazole chloride onto cotton fabric. The reduction on this fabric is higher than 99.9%. Attributed the strong covalent bonding between chains and cellulose macromolecules, performance did not decrease even after 150 equiv domestic laundering cycles. Covalent also prevented release antibacterial groups during application guarantees safety material, which was proved animal skin irritation acute oral toxicity tests.
