ABSTRACT
Inspired by the diverse drug compounds with various heteroatoms (such as N, S, and P) in library, facile synthesis of a new kind bright color-tunable N-doped carbon dots (NCDs) has been reported using popular antibiotic-aminosalicylic acid-as precursor. The N doping CDs not only enable great improvement photoluminescence (PL) efficiency tunability PL emission, but also enrich surface functional groups to broaden its application. as-prepared NCDs possess tunable show quantum yield 16.4%, which is result effect introduced nitrogen atoms among CDs. cellular toxicity on H1299 cancer cells indicates that have negligible cytotoxicity, excellent biocompatibility, resistance photobleaching. Moreover, drug-derived showed sensitivity detection Fe3+ living cells, potential application diagnosis related biological study.
