ABSTRACT
Poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) is a promising candidate as the next-generation thermoelectric (TE) material. Its TE properties are strongly dependent on its chemical and electronic structures. In this paper, we investigated effect of PEDOT molecular weight PEDOT:PSS films by comparative study two commercial grades PEDOT:PSS, Clevios P, PH1000. Dynamic light scattering (DLS) Raman spectra imply that PH1000 possesses longer conjugated chains than P. The both P can be significantly enhanced through various post treatments, including solvent treatment, germinal diol organic solution acid treatment. After these treated constantly show superior Seebeck coefficients electrical conductivities over films. It attributed to higher for former latter. For PH1000, result in large domains, facilitating charge conduction semimetallic behavior. Tuning oxidation level facile way enhance their property. A base treatment with sodium hydroxide was subsequently performed power factors were remarkably increased factor 1.2–3.6. Still, conductivity coefficient based-treated film those control film. highest 334 μW/(m K2) while only 11.4 They different about 30 times.
